Six Mile Waterworks Park at 135 Fuller Road, Albany, New York.

Crystal clear water but in my experience this place is a crowded fishing area especially during bass season. If you like to fish you will have a hard time catching much. All the fishing piers are on one side of the lake so everyone is casting in roughly the same area/direction. Might be better fishing with a boat. About 2 thirds is just not fishable from shore due to a lack of trails or other property.

This little spot has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. For me, it's just the solitude and catching sunsets. But for everyone else, it's got a few nice trails around the reservoir, a bunch of public bbq grills and picnic table, a decent playground area for kids. It's a nice respite from the hustle around it, and it connects to trails into the Pine Bush as well.
